Dolphinaris: Up Close with Dolphins In Scottsdale AZ

The other evening one of my childhood dreams came true. I got to get up close and personal with dolphins.  At Dolphinaris Arizona you get to interact with dolphins. This is one of the coolest things to do with kids in Phoenix. My sons loved every single second of it.

Logistics:  101 and Via de Ventura BLV in Scottsdale Arizona in the same plaza as Odysea aquarium, Butterfly Wonderland, and Pangea Land of Dinosaurs.

Prices: Prices Vary based on what dolphin interaction you choose. Check their website for pricing info.

Dolphin Experience

Dolphinaris Arizona allows visitors to interact with dolphins, learn about them, and support ocean conservation efforts. They have many interaction programs available from dry land or in the water experiences. Whatever interaction experience you chose, you can share a handshake, dolphin kiss and more. They also offer dolphin trainer for the day experiences and summer camps. We did a land experience.

More Information

When you first walk into Dolphinaris in front of you is the registers where you pay for the experience of your choice. The gift shop is to the right. My kiddos were able to get little souvenirs. The far wall of the gift shop you will see a kiosk area. When you have your dolphin interaction they will take pictures. Those kiosks are where you can browse your photos and choose which you want to buy. Next to the registers and also in the gift shops are doors to get outside. The doors by the register lead you to the beach club and restaurant. For an additional price or if you get the Delux experience you can have access to the beach club where there are cabanas, food, and a swimming pool. The doors near the gift shop lead you to the lockers and where you meet the trainer for your dolphin experience.

My sons loved talking to the trainers. They taught them about why cleaning the ocean is so important. They also discussed how they train the dolphins, what goes into their care, and how they sort the dolphins fish every day. My 4 yr old was especially pleased to learn the dolphins eat jello. At the conclusion of the tour 3 of the male dolphins and 3 trainers put on a dance show.

All I can say is IT WAS AMAZING!!! I am not sure who loved it more myself or my kiddos. To book a package or see everything they have to offer head on over to their website.
